I have decided that I need to start writing more. Hopefully I can keep it up.
Yesterday was the way I want every day to be.
Kyle surprised me with some lovely flowers and a Zaxby's salad at lunch time. I couldn't really talk or anything because I was on a conference call preparing for a presentation we had 30 minutes later, but it was nice to just sit at our desks and be in the same room. The flowers smell so good.
While browsing twitter later during the day, I saw that there was an event at a local bakery where you could buy a ceramic bowl that a college student made and that they would fill it with homemade soup. I decided that this is what I wanted to do for dinner. I got the pumpkin soup and Kyle chose cream of asparagus (those 2 were the only choices), and they were both pretty tasty. I love the bowls we chose and it felt good to help the students raise money for their trip to Seattle.
We decided to get a cream puff to take home to have later on in the evening and it was HUGE. and delicious.
I am really enjoying living in this small town. At dinner last Friday night with Kyle's boss, his wife, and a coworker visiting from NYC, I asked his boss' wife what her favorite bands were and the second one she named was Mates of State. I think things are going to be just fine.
